Global PTO Fundraising

                                                                       GLOBAL HIGH PTO MEETING MINUTES – 2014 –June 3

 

Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm

Old business

  • Motion was made to accept May meeting minutes. Motion was seconded and approved.

  • Anne is working to get the records updated.  Motion was made to table the review of financials until all updates are made.  This motion was seconded and approved.

Mr. Snook                                                                                                                                                                                                                

  • Thanked the senior parents for a great job on  Baccalaureate and Senior Banquet.  Special thanks to Laura Small, Stephanie Tigert and Lisa Hoops.

  • Graduation will be held at SAGU at 7pm on June 5.

  • Waxahachie Daily Light did an interview with Mr. Snook and some students that will hopefully be in the June 4 edition.

  • Early release on June 5 and 6 at 11:30am

  • Geometry will be offered this summer.

  • Mr. Snook thanked the PTO for all the efforts put forth in fundraising for scholarships.

New Business

Anne mentioned that the senior fund may show a deficit of about $1700 after all of the deposits and expenses are reconciled for project graduation.  This topic will need to be revisited at the first PTO meeting of next school year.

US News and World Report rated us in the top 25% of schools in the nation.

AP classes will be offered for some subject in the next school year.

Quest Fest is changing to a freshman and new student only event next school year.  The date of the event is scheduled for August 22.

No other new business was mentioned.

Motion was made to close the meeting.  Motion was seconded and carried and meeting was closed at 7:31pm.
